How To Pray Effectively And Hear From God

Prayer is no doubt a Christian's most powerful and important tool. Is it the greatest weapon to overcome every war or battle and obstacles that comes your way.

This is why the devil enjoys bringing temptations, making you see reasons why you shouldn't take prayer seriously. Sometimes you fa into his trap, not remembering he's nothing but a deceiver who comes to only still, kill and destroy.

Realizing this about the devil weakens him and makes him powerless over you. 

Of course, your spirit might be down Sometimes, it shows you're human, all you should do is take it to God in prayer.

They're a number of things that hinders God from granting your requests, one of which is an unforgiving heart, praying without faith, asking for the wrong thing at a particular moment.

Sometimes you ask for what is more than you at a particular time. That is why it seems God doesn't answer your prayers at some point. Imagine a 5-year-old asking his father to buy him a car, what would the child use the car for at such age? Of course the father would want to get the car for the child but not at that moment because the child doesn't need car at that age, but he might do so in the future when the child is old enough to own a car.

 

That is how God also treats you, but often times you don't understand this and you begin to worry and lament that God has forsaken you.

 Understand God's Purpose For Your Life

This is very important because if you do not understand God's purpose for your life you will be distracted, you will lack focus. Ask God , what am I here on earth to do? What purpose do you want me to fulfill? God will answer you.

 Ability To Discern Between God's Voice And Satan's Voice

This is another very important aspect. Many christians often miss it. If you don't understand God's voice you will wallow in confusion. 

Now, you might be asking, how do I hear from God? Well, it's simple build a personal relationship with him, know him for you and you'll be able to hear his voice.

 Have Faith, Believe

Where most believers get it all wrong is that they just pray without believing, without trusting God for an answer. What if God told you today to pray for a sick person, would you do so by faith believing God can heal that person through you? Or will you doubt his power? 

God wants you to put all your trust in him and have just a little faith in him.

Pray With Gratitude

This is the most difficult part, especially when something unfortunate happens to you. You become despair and despondent. But the scriptures makes us understand that in any situation you should praise God- and such situations includes the ugly, the bad and unpleasant experiences.

Thank God for the things he's even yet to do in your life.  That is what pleases God.

Forgive

Forgiveness is one key aspect of an effective prayer. It is in forgiving that you find forgiveness. If you withhold anyone's sins in your heart, God also withholds yours. But if you forgive those who offend you, those who hurt you God will forgive your own sins. This is one key component of effective prayer.

You're already victorious. God is delighted when you fully trust him and put all your hope in him, he never fails, he never disappoints. He's the all sufficient God. The double breasted one. The lover and keeper of your soul.
